High Voltage Resistors with tighter tolerances, but...

Murata Electronics North America has introduced the MHR03xx series of high voltage resistors that are available with tighter tolerances than previous versions.  Tolerance is +/-0.5% up to 100MΩ, and 1% above that.  Here'w what I like about their data sheet, found at http://www.murata.com/products/catalog/pdf/k99/k99e_l0055.pdf

The provide voltage rating in air, which they call "single use" and also when encapsulated.  I like this spec a lot.

What I don't like, is that many specs are omitted.  Like temperature coefficient and voltage coefficient.  Perhaps they are shown in some other place on their website?

Fast High Voltage Switches (& Solid State Relays) Available in the USA

The Behlke high voltage switch and solid state relay lines are now available in the US.  The new Behlke distributor is High Voltage Connection

These fast electronic switches can be used to switch high voltages and high currents.  The typical application for a high speed switch is in the range of 3kV to 12kV, and for currents in the milliamp region.  However, they are available for higher voltages and currents.  Features include:
  • Voltages up to 120 kV
  • Peak currents up to 32 kA
  • di/dt's up to 32 kA/ μs
  • Rise times 1 ns  to 500 ns
  • Peak power up to 256 MW
  • Galvanic isolation
  • TTL control input
